About Us
Royal Treasures began, quite fittingly, with Christmas. Years ago we started giving gifts of hand-made truffles to family and friends, our creations growing a little more ‘famous’ each year.
Then, an event happened that really made us feel famous! We sent a box of truffles to a friend who happened to be on a diet at the time, so she passed the truffles on to her husband’s aunt, the food editor of a leading newspaper in California. Soon afterwards the editor met us at a friend’s party, and gave us a glowing commendation. She told us that “when our business was legal” to let her know and she would mention us in her column.
Even though that was some years ago and the wonderful food editor is no longer with the newspaper, she still holds a warm place in our hearts for giving such a lovely dose of encouragement that has kept us ever-enthused about sharing our delicious creations.
Since 1983 we have branched out beyond chocolate truffles to include brownies and pies, too. Happily receiving accolades for all our dessert treasures, we decided to devote ourselves to “making our business legal” as Royal Treasures, ready to fulfill your gift requests on an even larger scale.
However, our business may not have happened at all without my mother’s lifelong support. She encouraged me from an early age to make all the holiday cookies and family birthday cakes. Lovingly telling me I could do anything I put my mind to, she herself was the perfect example. Even as she was suffering with bone cancer, she managed to design and draw our logo. Though she passed on before seeing Royal Treasures become a reality, I know she is nearby giving me her confidence and love. Thanks, Mom, for all you were and all that you instilled in me.
